Job Description:
Sherwin-Williams is a leading manufacturer of paints, coatings, and related products. We are seeking an ambitious Associate Software Engineer to join our team. This role will play a key part in supporting the design, development, and testing of software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.

The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of experience in software development and a general knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is also required. Preferred certifications include Professional Scrum Developer (PSD) and Certified Scrum Developer (CSD).

The salary for this position is estimated at $70,000 per year. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance package, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off. Key Responsibilities:
-Support software planning cycles by gathering information and providing basic feedback on product/project estimates
-Learn about business requirements and help the team in creating basic technical specifications to implement the requirements
-Assist the team in designing software, applications and database enhancements or new products and take notes for best practices
-Collaborate with the larger team to develop, build, and test basic software systems or applications to meet business requirements under the guidance of experienced SDEs
-Research scalable code in various programming languages to learn the best practices and synthesize insights
-Support the team in conducting basic bug fixes to identify and remediate defects in software solutions
-Help in technical documentation including code comments and user manuals under the guidance of experienced SDEs

Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or in lieu of a degree, at least 2 years of experience in software development
-General knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices
-Knowledge of at least one software development tool, platform, and language
-Knowledge of relational databases and SQL as well as web services and APIs
-Good written and verbal communication skills
