Job Summary

Cedar Point is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Quick Service Restaurant team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our Quick Service Restaurants, ensuring financial performance, product production, and personnel management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee and manage the restaurant's profit and loss statement to optimize manageable profit, control costs of goods sold, labor, and other controllable expenditures to achieve all financial and budgetary goals.
  • Restaurant Operations: Pass and/or take corrective action for all inspections and audits performed by outside entities, such as the Ohio Department of Health, Ecosure, Everclean, brand standard audits, and Cedar Point, State and local fire and safety inspections.
  • Staff Management: Staff, train, develop restaurant supervisors and hourly associates through orientations, ongoing feedback, the establishment of performance expectations, and conducting reviews. Ensure all necessary associates are certified in Serv Safe Alcohol for the responsible service of alcohol to guests.
  • Scheduling and Staffing: Manage scheduling and ensure the restaurant is properly staffed to meet guest expectations, sales volumes, and to do so within budgetary constraints.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for ordering, control, and inventory of all necessary products to effectively produce and serve a quality product to guests in accordance with Cedar Point, State, local, and franchise standards of excellence.
  • Guest Services: Ensure the highest level of guest services are present in all units, including monthly training with front and back of the house personnel.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Initiate corrective and improvement actions as needed or upon the direction of the director. Responsible for accurate reports within the area of responsibility.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma/GED required.
  • Experience: 4-6 years related work experience required, with 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Certifications: Ohio Level 2 Food Protection Certification.
  • Availability: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
