Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Adjuster - Property Loss Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims department, you will investigate, evaluate, and settle moderately complex property claims in compliance with all state regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and evaluate property claims, applying technical knowledge and human relations skills to effect fair and prompt disposal of cases.
  • Interpret policy coverage and clearly articulate the claim process to customers.
  • Determine coverage and preserve subrogation recovery rights, and adjust reserves as needed.
  • Negotiate claim settlements and confer with legal counsel when necessary.
  • Pay and conclude claims within designated authority levels.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and at least two years of property adjusting experience.
  • Proven ability to meet customer needs and provide excellent service.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, estimates, and statutory regulations.
  • Intermediate property construction knowledge and experience with industry-supported tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Participation in technical insurance coursework (AEI, CPCU, AIC, INS).
