Position SummaryThe Enrollment Specialist Volunteer role offers a chance to utilize exceptional customer service abilities to effectively screen, interview, train, and assist in the matching of community volunteers. This position is crucial in safeguarding the potential of our youth while also nurturing the growth of our staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Duties:
- Facilitate volunteer enrollment processes, including conducting orientations, interviews, and managing necessary documentation.
- Evaluate and direct volunteers to additional training opportunities and resources as required.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of child safety and risk management protocols, ensuring compliance in all job functions.
- Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure seamless transitions across various functions.
- Conduct reference checks and promptly communicate any concerns regarding volunteer enrollment to the supervisor.
- Engage in weekly supervision meetings with the Program Manager to monitor progress and address any challenges.
- Review enrollment documentation and provide recommendations for program participation, ensuring successful volunteer matches.
- Maintain accurate records to ensure accountability and effectiveness in the enrollment process.
- Assist in volunteer training, match proposals, and introductions, as well as contribute to special projects and community outreach initiatives.
- Foster collaborative relationships with other community organizations.
- Participate in agency events to support fundraising efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in child development, social sciences, health sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Access to reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
- Knowledge of child development and family dynamics.
- Awareness of challenges faced by underserved populations.
- Ability to gather and analyze data effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management software.
- Capacity to work independently with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
