Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team in the Neurophysiology Lab. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing neurodiagnostic testing, including EEG, EP, MEG, TMS, and Electrocorticography. You will also assist in nerve conduction testing and complete all necessary documentation for departmental records.

Responsibilities
  • Perform standard and complex EEG and evoked potential (EP) recordings according to established lab protocol and guidelines set forth by the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
  • Summarize patient neurological status and clinical history and complete documentation needed for physician interpretation.
  • Record clinical evoked potentials in various modalities and nerve conduction velocities.
  • Monitor EEG during sodium amytal studies, electrocorticography, and cortical mapping.
  • Participate in the development of new diagnostic testing procedures and evaluate new equipment for potential purchase.
  • Assist in education and training opportunities for residents and other medical or technical staff.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through annual participation in educational programs and workshops.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Neurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent training.
  • At least three years' experience performing EEGs, NCV, and EPs.
  • Registered or registry eligible by ABRET in EEG or within 18 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.
