Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing neurodiagnostic testing, including EEG, EP, MEG, TMS, epilepsy monitoring, and electrocorticography. You will also assist in nerve conduction testing and complete all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurodiagnostic testing and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for:

  • Performing standard and complex EEG and evoked potential recordings according to established lab protocol and guidelines set forth by the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
  • Completing patient charge forms to ensure accurate and timely billing of procedures and completing all necessary written documentation to ensure smooth operation of the department.
  • Supporting all functions, goals, and objectives of the department, as well as the development of new programs that involve the Neurophysiology Lab and Epilepsy Unit.
  • Practicing safety and infection control policies and maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and employees.
  • Providing service excellence to customers of Saint Louis University Hospital by delivering timely, high-quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Incorporating quality assessment into daily work and assisting in the daily collection of data for the department's Performance Improvement Program.
  • Providing age-appropriate care to patients and demonstrating knowledge and skills of normal growth and development necessary to provide services to the age of the patient served by the department.
  • Providing specialized care to patients at high risk for injury and following pain management plans of care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or equivalent training.
  • At least three years of experience performing EEGs, NCV, and EPs.
  • Registered or registry eligible by ABRET in EEG or within 18 months of hire.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use hospital computer systems, including EPIC, HPF, and Meditech.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
