Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join the State of California as an Office Assistant in the Department of Motor Vehicles. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing and distributing DMV documents and products to internal and external customers. Your excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our mailroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and distribute DMV documents and products to internal and external customers
  • Work independently to manage mailroom operations, including sorting, processing, and delivering mail
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with management, customers, and coworkers to create a positive team environment
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift and transport bulk mail and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
