Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist

Job Summary:
Renewal By Andersen is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer III to drive department and enterprise key initiatives through continuous process improvement, improving customer satisfaction, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements.
- Support fabrication and assembly operations focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead cost reductions and yield improvements with delivery partners.
- Utilize sound project management tools for complex projects and key initiatives.
- Improve equipment capability and reliability.
- Identify opportunities for error proofing and implement solutions.
- Respond to day-to-day production needs such as equipment troubleshooting and quality concerns.
- Manage the design, procurement, and startup of capital equipment projects.
- Develop operator balance charts, machine balance charts, and staffing playbooks for assembly work cells.
- Partner with ongoing product development team to implement product design changes and line extensions.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Engineering or Technology.
- 5+ years of relevant working experience.
- Equipment procurement experience.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC, and process capability.
- Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both internal and external customers.
- Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups.

Profit Sharing:
In 2024, Renewal By Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
