Job Title: Director, Oncology Learning and Development

Job Summary:

The Director of Oncology Learning and Development will serve a critical role within the Commercial organization, responsible for setting the short and long-term vision to advance Oncology L&D. This individual will assess and identify development opportunities and training needs across the commercial Oncology Business Unit, leading the creation and effective implementation of curriculums for enhancing selling competencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of learning professionals to develop talent and create a best-in-class learning experience for our learners.
  • Oversee learning needs assessment in collaboration with the business to clearly understand and define the gaps in skills and knowledge.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of the most effective learning mix for the agreed target audience.
  • Broker resources and/or capabilities across the function and business to develop agreed solutions.
  • Accountable and responsible for all product curricula components and inventory requiring promotional review and approval.
  • Ensure learning and development solutions are developed and deployed using global frameworks, standards, systems, and processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years' Experience OR Masters' Degree and Ten Years' Experience OR PhD and Eight Years' Experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or medical device industry.
  • 7+ years of experience leading sales or training teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional facilitation, presentation, and decision-making skills.
What We Offer:

Gilead Sciences offers a competitive salary range of $205,700.00 - $266,200.00, as well as a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
