Key Responsibilities


Leadership and Management – You will excel in team and project management, fostering the development of team members, establishing processes that ensure consistency in high-quality research outputs, and overseeing the efficient scoping and delivery of projects.


Strategic Business Contributor – You will engage in high-priority business and client initiatives, defining and pitching insights activities that position research at the core of client strategy formulation and execution.


Research Authority – As a leading research expert, you will be a vital resource for developing research methodologies, project scoping, task allocation, and presenting findings and actionable insights to clients and account teams.


Data Insight Specialist – You will adeptly identify and translate significant research findings to assist clients and account teams in achieving diverse objectives across various sectors.


Research Enthusiast – With a robust background in quantitative or qualitative research, you will be eager to learn Avoq's methodologies and data tools, which monitor issues across different sectors.

Essential Duties
Utilize data to extract insights on trends and situations related to news, social media, advertising, public policy, and communications.

Employ research and data-driven insights to establish connections and deliver relevant findings for strategic projects.

Identify key takeaways and actionable recommendations as second nature.

Design methodologies and present insights to clients.

Oversee project lifecycles, outline action plans, and provide guidance to junior team members.

Drive team performance through proactive project management and establish yourself as a subject matter expert in research.

Foster a culture of knowledge sharing by developing educational opportunities for staff at all levels.

Champion thought leadership that highlights Avoq's expertise on timely issues.

Assist in shaping the business strategy of the team, including revenue tracking and project pricing.

Contribute to the vision for the future of the Insights team and its impact on the industry.

Qualifications
As a qualified candidate, you have over 10 years of experience in the following areas:

Quickly analyze complex client situations to discern trends and nuances in news, social media, advertising, policy, and communications.

Communicate effectively, interfacing with internal teams and clients to present data clearly and persuasively.

Work independently on projects and share findings with colleagues.

Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines.

Provide feedback and guidance to trainees on data-driven research.

Transform critical data points into research-driven narratives.

Exhibit strong time-management skills and the ability to meet simultaneous deadlines.

Bring creativity and innovative ideas to the forefront.

As an exceptional candidate, you may possess many of the following attributes:

Relevant experience or interest in data-driven research, advertising, journalism, communications, media, or language.

Experience with digital/social media analytics tools and diverse data sets, including demographic, political, economic, and public policy data.

Understanding of digital advertising, including campaign development, execution, and measurement.

Passionate about policy, media, and business issues.

Prior experience with public affairs firms, research or media planning agencies, public policy organizations, political campaigns, or communication agencies.

Excellent writing, editing, research, and presentation skills.

Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

A proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Advanced skills in PowerPoint and proficiency in Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, conditional formatting, VLOOKUP).

Familiarity with analytics and business intelligence tools, such as Brandwatch, Newswhip, Google Data Studio, etc.
