Mammography Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing mammography radiographic procedures to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses, and treat patients.
Responsibilities- Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
- Enter and monitor patient data.
- Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment and assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditation.
- Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
- Take emergency calls within the department.
- Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
- Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
- Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or an approved program of mammography technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
- Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
- One (1) year of experience required.
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
