About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing mammography radiographic procedures to detect abnormalities and make diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and administer contrast when necessary.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and ensure technical quality of images.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, and perform quality assurance on mammography equipment.
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or approved program of mammography technology.
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
  • One (1) year of experience in mammography radiography required.
