Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at the TMC Breast Care Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammography radiographic exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, position patients for exams, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure technical quality of images.
  • Enter and monitor patient data.
  • Perform quality assurance on mammography equipment.
  • Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Take emergency calls within the department.
  • Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or an approved program of mammography technology.
  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
