Position Overview:
Are you skilled in overseeing large, intricate software development initiatives? Do you possess experience in managing portfolios within a research and development product environment? This role reports directly to the Engineering Chief of Staff Program and is integral to the R&D Program and Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Guidance:
    Provide strategic direction in executing projects and initiatives that align with the company's technological and business objectives, including R&D portfolio management.
  • Portfolio Oversight:
    Lead the comprehensive management of the R&D product development portfolio, ensuring projects are prioritized, funded, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Process Enhancement:
    Implement and refine portfolio management processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, delivering regular updates on project statuses, risks, and opportunities.
  • Resource Management:
    Collaborate with department leads to allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing bottlenecks.
  • Risk Assessment:
    Identify potential risks within the portfolio and devise mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Performance Evaluation:
    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor project progress, quality, and impact.
  • Continuous Development:
    Foster a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing feedback and data to refine processes and enhance overall performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in technical program management, portfolio management, or a related role, preferably within an R&D environment.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex software development projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • 8+ years of experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).

Compensation:
$150,000 - $210,000 a year
Other Benefits:
Bonus eligible. The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
