Job Summary

This is a Management Service position that serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. The Director of Operations will provide executive-level direction for operational activities and staff within the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON).

Main Responsibilities

The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance with MBON's strategic plan and applicable State and Department regulations. This includes establishing and evaluating policies and procedures, overseeing implementation and revisions, and managing procurement, budget management, resource allocation, physical plant, recruitment, and administrative services.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration or a similar field, at least 5 years of experience in leadership and management, 3 years of fiscal experience and oversight, and 3 years of procurement management experience. Preferred candidates should possess experience with FMIS and experience with budget management.
