We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our healthcare team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and room patients for exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Perform laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy, EKG, and spirometry, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice clinicians with procedures and administer routine medications as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program or 2 years of experience as a medical assistant preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 45 days of hire.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
