Role Overview:

The Observability Monitoring Engineer is essential in ensuring optimal system performance and reliability by overseeing and enhancing AIOps platforms. This role involves configuring and utilizing advanced monitoring tools, managing observability initiatives, and supervising automated remediation processes. The engineer will focus on process automation, system efficiency improvements, and swift resolution of issues.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in system reliability, observability, and incident management.
  • Proficient in integrating new services into monitoring frameworks and managing performance metrics.
  • Experience in system monitoring, incident response, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Skilled in gathering and incorporating requirements from service owners to meet performance objectives.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms, such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog, or ServiceNow Operation Platform.
  • Proficient in scripting languages, including Python or Bash, and infrastructure management tools.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Background in managing AIOps and observability projects.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM best practices.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and achieve consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Certifications in ITIL, SRE, or observability and monitoring platforms.

Security Clearance:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Compensation Structure:

Compensation at Booz Allen Hamilton is based on various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected salary range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 annually. This range reflects the typical salary for this role and is part of our comprehensive compensation package.

Work Environment:
