About the Role

The Doncaster Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Practitioner to join our SEMH Hub team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals to provide high-quality support and guidance to children with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of professionals to provide SEMH support and guidance to children
  • Work closely with mainstream teachers and Nexus Multi Academy Trust to ensure the support and guidance provided is appropriate to the child's needs
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support children with SEMH needs
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting children with SEMH needs
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in SEMH support

Requirements

  • Level 5-6 qualification in a relevant field
  • Experience in SEMH settings, Social Care, or Mental Health
  • GCSE Grade C or above in mathematics or English or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team and to inspire young people
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Commitment to supporting the aims of the academy
