Day Supports Manager

h3Job Description/h3pCooperative for Human Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Day Supports Manager to develop and implement activities and opportunities for program participants based on their interests, preferences, and capabilities. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the local community and able to identify meaningful events, options, and local happenings to incorporate into the weekly program schedule./ppbKey Responsibilities:/b/pulliDevelop a positive working relationship with each person served and demonstrate an understanding of learning styles, capabilities, preferences, and interests./liliCreate a weekly program plan and calendar that includes meaningful community activities, opportunities for music, physical activities, spirituality, wellness, community connections, volunteerism, self-expression, and advocacy./liliWork to ensure the input, inclusion, and involvement of each person served in the design and delivery of services./liliResearch new ideas for programs and activities and develop regularly occurring opportunities that include individualized options, small groups, and larger groups based on the needs, levels of participation, available venue, and group dynamics./liliAssist in the identification and development of individualized goals and measurable objectives that can be incorporated into program routines and ISPs./liliMaintain existing community connections and continue to expand these opportunities on an ongoing basis./liliAssist in arranging, transporting, and/or escorting program participants to, from, and within the program and on external trips./liliEstablish a schedule to regularly visit each site and participate in scheduled activities to ensure the staff are equipped with the tools to be successful and the needs of the participants are addressed./liliEnsure all required documentation is completed as required, including data sheets, medication administration, progress notes, goal tracking, photos, and videos (as permitted via consent)./liliParticipate in the monitoring and review of program plans to ensure relevance and effectiveness./liliProvide onsite coverage as needed./liliSafeguard the confidentiality of each person served and adhere to all privacy laws (state and federal)./liliOversee and ensure the provision of training and professional development for all employees in assigned day supports program and services./liliUphold and comply with all safety programs and policies to maintain a safe work environment for the people we support and employees this role oversees./liliParticipate in inter and intra departmental meetings and work in cooperation with others./li/ulpbRequirements:/b/pulliBachelor's degree in a related human services field./liliTwo (2) years of relevant case management experience and previous experience directly supporting people with developmental disabilities./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated supervisory skills, knowledge of community-based supports./liliA valid MA/NH/RI driver's license, reliable vehicle, and good driving history record required./liliDemonstrates a high degree of organizational and time management skills for multiple competing priorities./liliAbility to utilize excellent judgment in developing sound solutions./liliMust be able to lift 30 pounds./liliEffective communication (verbal & written) and problem-solving skills./liliAbility to understand and comply with multiple regulatory requirements./liliCombination of sitting, standing, and walking./liliMust be able to lift 30lb to safely assist/transfer person(s) served./li/ulpbBenefits:/b/pulli403(b)/lili403(b) matching/liliDental insurance/liliEmployee assistance program/liliFlexible spending account/liliHealth insurance/liliLife insurance/liliLoan forgiveness/liliPaid time off/liliRetirement plan/liliVision insurance/li/ulpbSchedule:/b/pulli8 hour shift/liliNo weekends/li/ulpbAbility to Relocate:/b/pulliMalden, MA 02148: Relocate before starting work (Required)/li/ulpbWork Location:/b/pulliIn person/li/ul
