Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with referral sources, patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
  • Provide directions and assistance to patients, family members, and visitors as needed, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals by maintaining high employee and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Maintain all transportation equipment in a clean and safe condition, adhering to Infection Control policies.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, students, and colleagues to enhance retention and reduce turnover.
  • Stay up-to-date with National Patient Safety Goals, including patient identifiers and HIPAA regulations.
  • Transport patients safely, utilizing knowledge of Infection Control policies, proper body mechanics, and patient identifiers.
  • Volunteer for and recommend creative changes to improve departmental productivity, including flexible scheduling and shift changes.
  • Ensure timely transportation by maintaining proper supplies in the transportation office.
  • Assist with obtaining supplies, specimens, and blood products, following established procedures.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of diverse patient care populations served within our community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience working with the public in a customer service capacity or related field (preferred)
  • CPR/BLS Certification from a recognized organization (American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute) upon hire (preferred)
