About the Role:

The Infection Control Nurse Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, directing, implementing, and evaluating infection control and prevention programs within our main hospital and outpatient clinics.

This role will supervise the RN Infection Preventionist and instruct hospital staff on proper infection control procedures.

The Infection Control Nurse Manager will investigate infection control issues and provide follow-up care for patients exposed to infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze infection data to inform evidence-based decisions
  • Educate medical and public health professionals on infection prevention protocols
  • Isolate and treat infected individuals to contain the spread of infectious diseases
  • Assist with developing action plans in case of a community or hospital outbreak
  • Collaborate with government agencies to ensure infection control practices are implemented and enforced
  • Study pathogens to determine origin and prevent future outbreaks
  • Assist scientists and physicians with developing treatments and vaccines
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Five years of experience in infection control and prevention
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
  • Infection Control Certified (ICC) certification
  • Experience in an acute care setting
