Job Overview

As a Pharmacy Department Director with a strong customer focus, you will be responsible for leading the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional customer experience and drive business growth at Walgreens.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, ensuring high-quality service and a positive shopping experience.
  • Manage and control Prescription Department inventory, adhering to Company buying procedures and recommending merchandise from proper internal and external sources.
  • Coordinate and organize pharmacy department daily schedule of activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting business objectives.
  • Prepare, submit, and file various reports and records required by the Company and government agencies, maintaining accurate and timely reporting of inventory for limited distribution drugs (LDD).
  • Work collaboratively with internal specialty sales account managers and strategic account managers of health systems to deepen relationships and drive growth of the business.
  • Implement department organization structure through proper hiring and placement, transferring of personnel, scheduling of work, assignment of responsibility, delegation of authority, promotion of personnel, layoffs, recalls, or effectively recommending the same.
  • Assure EEO compliance through equity, consistency, and fairness, preventing workplace harassment, upholding the Open Door policy, and communicating openly and honestly to employees at all times.
  • Supervise pharmacy department team members to assure performance of required functions and adherence to Company policies and procedures, ensuring proper licensure of all pharmacy department personnel.

Requirements

  • Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmacy management, with a proven track record of driving business growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including health professionals and strategic account managers.
