About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to drive the rapid advancement of materials and processes that are the building blocks of our devices. As a key member of the Materials Product Design organization, you will work with cross-functional partners and external vendors to develop, test, and validate new material solutions for a wide range of Apple products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-functional communication between project teams and external vendors to meet aggressive schedule and quality goals.
  • Drive day-to-day activities to meet overall project objectives, including creating and managing project schedules, providing timely issue resolution, and critical path management.
  • Collaborate and facilitate communication across Design, Engineering, Operations teams, and our OEM partners to meet very aggressive schedule and quality goals.
  • Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision making.
  • Provide project status across a wide spectrum of contributors to executive management.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to independently drive projects and deliver a product.
  • Flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity.
  • Strong materials fundamentals and familiarity with glass, ceramics, films/coatings.
  • 5+ years experience in project management for mechanical engineering or materials production.
  • Experience collaborating with Mechanical Engineering/Design and Operations.
  • Experience managing key vendor relationships and complex production requirements.
  • BS Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • Ability to travel as this position will require domestic and international travel (up to 20%).
