Medical Support Specialist

Premise Health is a leading direct healthcare provider, offering a wide range of dynamic career opportunities. We are currently seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to join our Centralized Staffing Pool in Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities:- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination
- Clean and sterilize instruments
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
- Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
- Give injections or treatments and perform routine laboratory tests
- Schedule appointments and make follow-up phone calls to patients
- Perform administrative tasks, complete client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provide assistance at the front desk
- Key data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records
- National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization or a Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on externship completed and passed
- CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) Certification with hands-on evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor
- State Lab Certificate (NV only)
- CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
