About the Role
The Leviton Finance team is seeking a Claims Processing Specialist I to become a vital part of the Credit, Accounts Receivable & Claims department. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by challenges and have a strong desire to learn and grow.
The Claims Processing Specialist I will be tasked with assessing, managing, and resolving customer claims (deductions) while collaborating with customers and various internal teams. This role offers opportunities for professional development through hands-on training and skill enhancement in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve customer deductions using multiple data sources.
- Document returns and credit memos through data entry in Leviton's systems.
- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile overdue debits, including those aged 30, 60, and over 90 days.
- Generate Resolution Effort Reports in Microsoft Excel to identify negative trends and track the resolution of claims.
- Collaborate with various departments, including outside sales, logistics, warehouse staff, accounts receivable, and customers to resolve claims.
- Address and recover invalid deductions.
- Timely escalate unresolved issues to management.
- Foster relationships across the organization to help identify and resolve root causes of deductions.
- Maintain productivity levels in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Capable of thriving in a high-volume work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in general office practices, with familiarity in claims (deductions) and collections.
- This position does not require travel.
