About the Role

The Leviton Finance team is seeking a Claims Processing Specialist I to become a vital part of the Credit, Accounts Receivable & Claims department. We are looking for individuals who are motivated by challenges and have a strong desire to learn and grow.

The Claims Processing Specialist I will be tasked with assessing, managing, and resolving customer claims (deductions) while collaborating with customers and various internal teams. This role offers opportunities for professional development through hands-on training and skill enhancement in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve customer deductions using multiple data sources.
  • Document returns and credit memos through data entry in Leviton's systems.
  • Monitor, analyze, and reconcile overdue debits, including those aged 30, 60, and over 90 days.
  • Generate Resolution Effort Reports in Microsoft Excel to identify negative trends and track the resolution of claims.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including outside sales, logistics, warehouse staff, accounts receivable, and customers to resolve claims.
  • Address and recover invalid deductions.
  • Timely escalate unresolved issues to management.
  • Foster relationships across the organization to help identify and resolve root causes of deductions.
  • Maintain productivity levels in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Capable of thriving in a high-volume work environment.
Education & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in general office practices, with familiarity in claims (deductions) and collections.
Travel
  • This position does not require travel.

$45,000 - $53,000 per year
