Role SummaryThe Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of mechanical systems related to coil processing production. This position requires adept skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various mechanical and electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, performing necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on coil processing machinery.
- Conduct mechanical repairs on industrial drive systems, including gearboxes, sprockets, and belts, while replacing bearings as needed.
- Adjust and maintain various manufacturing machine systems, ensuring operational interlocks and safety sensors are functioning correctly.
- Maintain accurate documentation for calibrated equipment, including maintenance logs and machine history.
- Provide technical recommendations to enhance equipment efficiency and longevity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement technical solutions.
- Document maintenance actions and report any irregularities in equipment performance.
- Test machinery to ensure compliance with production and quality standards.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
- Guide production personnel in routine maintenance practices.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and tools effectively.
- Perform pipe fitting, welding, and brazing tasks as required.
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Exhibit leadership in safety practices and demonstrate a commitment to personal and team safety.
- Possess basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical systems.
- Commit to ongoing training and skill enhancement.
- Implement reliability objectives within the assigned area.
Candidate must possess an Associate Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or have completed a related mechanical training program with certification.
