Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a key member of our Department of Anesthesiology, you will provide exceptional care to pediatric patients, advance research and quality improvement, and train the next generation of anesthesiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preanesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthetic care, postoperative rounds, resuscitation, and intensive care to patients at VCU Health CHOR.
  • Direct the activities of nurse anesthetists and supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) as assigned.
  • Teach bedside clinical skills to residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
  • Pursue clinical or laboratory research and participate in clinical trials.
  • Participate in departmental, School of Medicine, University, and VCU Health System committees.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree
  • ABA Board eligible/certified in Anesthesiology and/or certified/eligible for Critical Care Certification
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia
  • Eligible for employment in the United States
  • Good communication, clinical, and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment or commitment to do so
