Job Description
The Sr. Paralegal, Contracting role supports a highly complex, fast-paced, and multi-faceted business unit within the Medical Segment. This position prepares agreements and resolves legal questions under the direction of the organization's attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, policies, and company procedures.
- Drafts contracts based on term sheets, financial models, and approvals.
- Communicates contract policies and practices to internal business teams, ensuring contract review, approval, and execution are in accordance with standard contract requirements and contract guidelines.
- Prepares and administers routine correspondence and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal and execution.
- May conduct research to support contract audit.
- Coordinates approvals and responses during contract negotiation.
- Performs contract closeout activities, including informing the appropriate stakeholders that the contract has been signed.
- Reviews contracts upon renewal to determine if changes to financial terms, IT, and operational requirements are needed.
- Consults with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other relevant stakeholders to determine who will be responsible for communicating the changes internally and externally.
- Drafts and negotiates a variety of healthcare documents and commercial agreements.
- Reviews internal and external marketing materials.
- Assists with ad hoc projects as needed, including document review and business process improvement.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in contract administration; healthcare strongly preferred.
- BA, BS, or equivalent experience in a related field preferred. An advanced degree may be preferred.
- Must be a quick learner and possess excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel.

Anticipated Salary Range: $79,700 - $113,800
