Job Title: Recruitment Specialist

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for leading the recruitment process for new hires and internal promotions, demotions, and transfers. The successful candidate will ensure integrity and consistency in the Court's recruiting process, which includes screening applications, completing pre-employment skills testing, interviewing, and documenting the process in a recruitment file for each open position.

The Recruitment Specialist will work closely with other Court departments to ensure qualified candidates are selected for the Court's open positions and that the process is in accordance with fair labor practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Court is in compliance with established hiring procedures and standards as related to the recruiting process.
  • Assist various Court departments in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Review and pre-screen employment applications with respect to the minimum qualifications, conduct pre-employment skills testing, create pools of applicants, and update and maintain an applicant tracking system.
  • Work with supervisor to prepare and update interview questionnaires, participate as an active member on interview panels for departments, and train managers/department interview teams on interview protocol.
  • Assist supervisor with creating and updating job postings, create and maintain a recruitment file for each open position until it is filled, and provide status updates on open positions to Human Resources management team and/or departments as requested.
  • Prepare and send out rejection memos, scheduling emails for interviews, and other correspondence with job applicants.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment relationships with colleges and other external agencies, prepare for and attend recruitment fairs, and assist employees with inquiries on recruitment and policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Two (2) years of work experience in a related Human Resources position is equivalent to one (1) year of education.
  • Two (2) years of Human Resources experience in recruitment or a related field.

In addition, while carrying out the duties of this position, the employee is expected to model high ethical conduct on and off the job, and exhibit a professional and respectful demeanor with all Court employees.
