Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Cleveland, OH. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery terms.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to ensure optimal value for the company.
  • Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts.
  • Train new users on P2P system basics and provide ongoing support.
  • Address invoice reconciliation issues and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in continuous business improvement activities for pricing and catalog management.
  • Proactively identify end-user risk areas and escalate as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and 1-3 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the procure-to-pay process and P2P/ERP systems.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and a sense of urgency.
  • Effective communication skills, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $35-$36.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with 2 days remote and 3 days in-office.
  • 8 am to 5 pm schedule.
  • Contract position for 12 months.
