Job Description

The Finance Chief Risk Office at U.S. Bank is seeking a Business Line Quality Assurance (BLQA) Auditor to play a critical role in risk management. The successful candidate will ensure that controls executed in Finance have been appropriately designed and executed to mitigate identified risks.

The BLQA Auditor will be responsible for performing key activities, including leading process walkthroughs, scheduling testing, drafting results memos, designing test scripts, and communicating results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work well with and influence others, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead process walkthroughs with control owners and key stakeholders
  • Schedule testing in alignment with the BLQA testing plan
  • Draft and submit entrance and exit results memos to impacted stakeholders
  • Design test scripts, test steps, and testing templates
  • Select populations/samples for testing
  • Request and collect testing evidence and support
  • Control testing
  • Coordinate reviews of test workpapers with the BLQA Manager/BLQA Team Leader
  • Communicate results
  • Update BLQA Policies and procedures, create process job aids
  • Recommend solutions to mitigate control gaps
  • Identify and execute process improvements in the BLQA function

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than three years of applicable experience
  • Prior internal audit, risk, compliance, or quality assurance testing experience
  • Knowledge and experience related to Finance operations, systems, and associated risks and controls
  • Strong analytical, process facilitation, and project management skills
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
