  • Inventory Management: Assist the Grocery Department Manager in ordering and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring all products meet company standards.
  • Department Operations: Assist in managing department profitability, including minimizing shrink and maximizing effective purchasing.
  • Merchandising and Visual Displays: Merchandise shelves, endcaps, and dynamic displays to create an inviting and engaging shopping environment.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training and monitoring department personnel, including assigning and following up on tasks.
  • Register Functions: Handle register functions, including backup cashiering, managing customer returns, and addressing customer complaints.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain the safety and security of customers and employees, adhering to company standards and policies.
  • Product Knowledge: Continuously increase product knowledge to provide expert advice and recommendations to customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a grocery or retail environment, preferably in natural foods.
  • Supervisory Experience: 1 year of experience supervising others preferred.
  • Food Safety Training: Ability to pass food safety training courses and maintain compliance.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with great attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities.
