Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Technician to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals in the Behavioral Health Department. As a member of our team, you will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and assist the nursing staff in providing patient care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide behavioral health care interventions utilizing the least restrictive interventions that are consistent with a culture of recovery and Trauma Informed Care.
- Perform vital signs, assist patients with activities of daily living, and assist with treatments or procedures within documented level of competency.
- Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by completing routine and special safety checks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider required.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or start in position.
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
