Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist
Location: Various locations within Capital Health system
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) plays a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes by applying evidence-based practice and promoting excellence in nursing care. The CNS will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to develop and implement clinical projects, improve patient education, and advance nursing practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement clinical projects to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs
  • Promote evidence-based practice and standardize nursing care across the organization
  • Provide educational programs for staff to enhance their knowledge and skills
  • Conduct quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Nursing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a registered nurse
  • Current RN licensure in New Jersey or multi-state compact license
  • Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., ACNPC-AG, ACNPC, CCRN)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
