Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Resilience Manager to ensure our organization has effective business continuity plans in place that can withstand potential disruptions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and refreshing all BCP policies, standards, and documentation, coordinating disaster recovery testing, and working with compliance and legal departments to ensure plans meet regulatory and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and annually refresh BCP policies, standards, playbooks/plans, and related documentation.
  • Serve on Emergency Management Team, Pandemic Planning Committee, and Cyber Response Team, providing ongoing training and meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of all business continuity plans with regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery testing at a firm-wide level and for specific critical applications on multiple Saturdays throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with departmental coordinators to ensure up-to-date BCP documentation and testing processes.
  • Coordinate strategic planning of business continuity programs, assessing vulnerabilities and developing continuity strategies.
  • Perform an annual Business Impact Analysis to ensure defined RPOs and RTOs meet requirements.
  • Work with internal Risk team to review and approve new vendors from an RTO/RPO perspective.
  • Maintain the firm's Operational Resilience framework.
  • Conduct periodic recovery tests for mission-critical systems to ensure alternate connections function as expected.
  • Facilitate quarterly meetings with departmental coordinators and executive management teams to inform them of testing progress and address any issues that need escalation.
  • Manage and maintain the firm's recovery sites.
  • Develop new areas of the program to enhance resilience and drive automation of manual processes.
  • Ensure alignment of program against regulatory expectations and manage high-visibility management action plans to resolve findings in a timely manner.
  • Work with department leaders to ensure all departmental specific documents are refreshed at least annually.
  • Coordinate file restore testing to certify backup tapes are in working condition and can be utilized if needed.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management, Audit, and Info Sec to identify emerging risks and proactively drive mitigation related to business continuity process enhancements.
  • Promote organizational awareness of business continuity policy, standards, plans, and processes through periodic corporate-wide training and ongoing mentoring of department leaders on best practices.
  • Manage Business Continuity reviews by Internal Audit, external audits, and compliance, ensuring comments are addressed in a timely fashion.
  • Provide 24x7 support for any emergency that may require activation of all or part of business continuity plans, acting as primary point of contact for senior management and facilitating responses of multi-disciplinary teams during significant disruption events.
  • Perform risk analysis for critical business processes and applications to identify points of vulnerability and recommend disaster avoidance and reduction strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidance, e.g., RegSCI / SIFMA Classic, etc.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases / queries and reporting services like Crystal Reports and PowerBI.
  • Must have the ability to travel to both Iselin, NJ and Jericho, NY on a biweekly basis.
  • Ability to work weekends and after hours to coordinate off-hours BCP tests with various vendors, and regulatory bodies (SIFMA, FIA, etc.).
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently communicate verbally and in writing with end users and the firm's executive leadership team.
  • Ability to work independently and to follow a set schedule of test event without guidance.
  • Availability to provide 24x7 support during emergencies and significant disruption events.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
