Position Overview

The role involves performing comprehensive research, data evaluation, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to facilitate informed business decisions, strategic initiatives, and operational efficiency. This position also plays a crucial role in enhancing business processes, ensuring quality control, and contributing to various improvement projects.

This position is hybrid, allowing work from a remote office and an assigned work location based on operational requirements. The designated work location will be within the service territory.

The company provides a salary range that reflects the good faith belief of potential compensation for this role at the time of posting. This range is specific to the job's locality. Actual salary will be determined based on various factors, including specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. While we anticipate that the successful candidate will be positioned between the entry point and the midpoint of the range, decisions will be made on an individual basis considering these factors.

This role is also eligible for participation in discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $114,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $182,000.00

OR

California Minimum: $108,000.00
California Maximum: $173,000.00

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities typically encompass many or all of the following:

Data Evaluation: Gathers and assesses data. May create and/or maintain data models for scenario analysis and other business applications. Metrics Development: Establishes and monitors business metrics. Designs business intelligence dashboards and maintains standard, custom, and ad-hoc reporting. Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develops or collaborates on budgets and forecasts. System Management: Supports and administers key IT systems, including: Development/configuration of system enhancements, user enrollment with appropriate access permissions, maintaining system security, monitoring and optimizing system/database performance, planning for database backup and recovery, maintaining archived data, executing data imports/exports, ensuring data quality assurance, and troubleshooting system issues. Quality Assurance & Process Enhancement: May engage in quality assurance and business process enhancement activities. This may involve developing, managing, or coordinating performance or quality assessments, business process re-engineering, change management, communication, and training. Conducts analysis on complex data models with cross-functional implications. Assists with IT-related enhancements and system development. Collaborates with team members for effective field rollout of processes, tools, and reporting changes. Creates and delivers user training, including the development and management of user guides/manuals as necessary. Develops innovative data solutions to tackle intricate business challenges. Communicates findings and recommendations to leadership. Builds and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions. May provide guidance and mentorship to other Business Analysts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 6 years of experience in planning, finance, and/or data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly interpret data for executives and articulate business issues succinctly. Experience in resolving complex problems through quantitative data-driven analysis, modeling, and utilizing spreadsheet and presentation tools for data visualization. Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL. Experience with modern scripting and coding languages (e.g., SQL, Python, VBA). Proficient in MS Power Platform, MS Access, and Smartsheet software. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or related field or equivalent experience. Experience in Corporate Real Estate within corporate services, transaction management, construction, workplace design, or related strategic real estate planning. Proficient with Office 365 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
