Position: HVAC Operations Supervisor

Overview:

The HVAC Operations Supervisor is accountable to the Site Manager and oversees the HVAC team, addressing service requests and executing maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment, ranging from basic to complex challenges. This role functions as a hands-on supervisor, assisting HVAC technicians with advanced repair tasks. The position operates with minimal oversight and serves as the primary liaison with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance for HVAC systems within the facility to accommodate production changes and the installation of new systems.
  • Follow safety protocols while diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating and refrigeration systems, utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as needed.
  • Estimate materials and equipment necessary for completing work projects to ensure timely project execution.
  • Inspect equipment and the quality of work performed, collaborating with team members to rectify any identified deficiencies.
  • Oversee assigned maintenance tasks to enhance workforce efficiency and meet operational requirements.
  • Prepare documentation such as requisitions and purchase orders to provide written support and convey necessary information.
  • Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure availability of materials at job sites.
  • Support other personnel or departments as needed to assist in their work activities.
  • Coordinate efforts with external contractors and production supervisors to minimize disruptions during projects or system repairs.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of leadership or related experience is essential.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence, and effective communication skills are necessary.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email, with the ability to learn new computer applications.

  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to interpret bar graphs.
Compensation Range: $74k-$106k annually
