Job Title: Clinical Educator Nursing - Adult Oncology

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Educator Nursing to join our Adult Oncology team. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and education to our nursing staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess the competency of new nursing staff members and develop strategies to improve quality of care and patient safety.
  • Design and deliver educational experiences for both new and experienced team members, incorporating theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles, and clinical nursing expertise.
  • Prepare annual self-development plans and set professional goals, seeking opportunities for achieving them.
  • Contribute to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (regular office hours, with some flexibility as needed based on department needs)
  • Location: Inova Fairfax Medical Campus
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Education, or a relevant field
  • Three (3) years of progressive experience in Nursing/Clinical Specialty and in Nursing/Clinical Education
  • BLS from the American Heart Association; Specialty Certification in area related to unit's clinical scope within one year of hire; Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
