Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Post Partum

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Partum team. As a Post Partum nurse, you will provide high-quality care to new mothers and their babies, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide care to postpartum patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to postpartum patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, medication, and treatment plans, and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Support patients and families in their recovery, providing education and resources as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a postpartum setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
