Job Summary:

As a Licensed Mental Health Professional, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services for adult and child members presenting with a range of mental health needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and support to members and their families.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental illness.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and research methods.
  • Instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding treatment adherence and medication regimens, within the scope of practice.
  • Administer specialized therapeutic procedures, as appropriate, and provide support to members' families.
  • Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries, maintaining confidential records in accordance with state and NCQA regulations.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards related to member treatment, patient rights, and confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity, commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
Work Environment:

This position is located at Kaiser Permanente's Oakland Hospital - Chemical Dependency department, with a 40-hour workweek and a Saturday/Holiday rotation shift as needed.
