**Job Summary**

Stine Seed Company, a leading national seed company, is seeking an experienced Independent Sales Representative to join our team in the Southern Illinois territory. As a key ambassador of the Stine brand, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers and growers, driving sales growth, and providing exceptional agronomic and technical support.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Stine seed products and services, as well as industry trends and market conditions.
  • Manage existing dealer accounts and recruit new dealerships to increase sales and expand the Stine brand presence in the territory.
  • Communicate and implement Stine's sales programs and policies to meet sales goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Stine Regional Sales Agronomist to provide high-level sales support and technical expertise to customers and dealers.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with customers and potential customers through regular communication, site visits, and other means.

**Requirements:**

  • 3+ years of experience in agronomy, crop production, or seed sales, with a proven track record of success in sales and dealer development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with growers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proven sales techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong sense of initiative and a results-driven approach.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with growers, understanding their needs and values, and achieving desired results.
