About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Safety Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and review software and firmware to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Develop and implement software safety plans and procedures.
  • Conduct safety assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on software safety best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software safety engineering.
  • Experience with system safety engineering, software engineering, and/or firmware engineering.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations, including MIL-STD-882E and JSSSEH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
