Job Summary

Auro Hotels is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel's housekeeping department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efficiency and cleanliness of public spaces, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare work schedules in accordance with forecasted occupancy and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Conduct effective associate meetings, handle disciplinary actions, and provide counseling sessions as necessary.
  • Determine, communicate, and monitor achievement standards and performance metrics on a timely basis.
  • Conduct department training on cleaning techniques, safe use of cleaning products, and AURO Hotels standards.
  • Work with associates to provide outstanding customer service and ensure that AURO Hotels standards are met in all public areas and guest rooms.
  • Inspect guest rooms quarterly, write maintenance orders as needed, and check linen closets and carts for cleanliness and supplies.
  • Use the 100-point inspection to ensure quality of rooms and coordinate housekeeping work with other departments.
  • Coordinate staffing and payroll to conform with productivity and budgetary standards, prepare payroll and schedules as required, and monitor actual vs. budget on payroll cycles.
  • Work scheduled Manager On Duty shifts, maintain proper linen pars, chemicals, and amenity inventories, and conduct inventories as assigned.
  • Confers closely with the General Manager and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the hotel to assist wherever required.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Performs performance appraisals on all direct reports as required.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of hotel management/supervisory experience in Housekeeping or Rooms Division or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor is required, preferably in a brand hotel.
  • Must speak, read, and understand English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or better in Hospitality and Resort Management or related field.
  • Previous experience as a Room Attendant in a similar size hotel atmosphere.
  • Previous experience as a Manager or Supervisor in Hotel housekeeping, preferably in a brand hotel.
