The Senior Administrative Clerk is responsible for executing advanced clerical and financial tasks, including cashiering and mail management. This role involves coordinating various clerical activities, such as requisitioning office supplies, managing facility documents, and maintaining precise financial records related to billing for services rendered to our clients.

With a comprehensive understanding of organizational policies and procedures, the Senior Administrative Clerk communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, and provides training to colleagues as necessary. This position operates with a degree of autonomy, requiring initiative and independent judgment while delivering outstanding customer service to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Regular attendance and adherence to agency leave policies are expected, along with the performance of additional duties as assigned.

Responsible for the reception, organization, and distribution of all cash and related documentation within the cashier's office.


Manage the filing and secure storage of completed deposit and cash disbursement records for clients.

Assist in the maintenance of cash transaction logs and the cashier database, generating daily transaction reports for relevant administrative personnel.


Prepare and compile daily receipts and bank deposits.

Additional responsibilities may include administrative, business, and fiscal services tasks. Provide training to new staff members in similar roles.

Participate in agency disaster response and recovery efforts, which may require flexibility in work hours or location.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient understanding of clerical and financial protocols; mastery of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic; familiarity with business and financial regulations; and expertise in records management and postal procedures.


Competence in utilizing personal computers and Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as proficiency in data entry using a 10-key calculator.

Ability to create and maintain records, files, and reports; transfer electronic documents efficiently; perform arithmetic calculations; communicate effectively; and provide training to peers.
