Position Overview:

The Retail Training Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all field personnel comply with Winston and client standards by reviewing regular Store Visit Reports and providing timely, actionable feedback.

This position reports to the Field Visual Manager or Account Training Manager and involves reviewing Store Visit Reports within a designated area.

The specialist will regularly communicate Store Visit Reports and images of executed work, ensuring the accuracy of data and information.


Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience as a Merchandise Coordinator
Proven expertise in brand and client merchandising


Key Responsibilities:

Support the Field Team in delivering top-tier client service by reviewing all reports for quality and accuracy, addressing any opportunities as needed.

Conduct daily reviews and approvals/rejections of Store Visit Reports for all visits completed in the designated area. Provide coaching and feedback to enhance execution standards.

Train and develop the field team to ensure they possess expert-level knowledge of Winston and client merchandising fundamentals, principles, and standards.

Conduct local field visits to gain insights into visit priorities, challenges, and opportunities.

Collaborate with Account Management and Training by offering guidance and assistance with report reviews, client recaps, field training, and program effectiveness.

Follow up weekly on outstanding Store Visit Reports to ensure all reports are finalized by month-end.

Oversee special projects that require a check-in and check-out process via email or text.

Evaluate team store visit reports and photos; provide constructive feedback and coaching to ensure on-floor results meet expectations for client review.


Skills and Competencies:

Demonstrated ability to submit Store Visit Reports in a timely manner, consistently meeting Winston and brand standards, and fulfilling multiple brand merchandising requirements while building relationships with management.

Strong writing, communication, and critical thinking abilities.

Solution-oriented mindset, capable of transforming challenges into opportunities, and coaching the field team to do the same through strong relationships with visual, store, and department management.

Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Email, with the ability to master our field visit report/photo reporting system and utilize digital photography.
