Job Summary

This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room and its equipment.
  • Participate in the setup and breakdown of surgical cases.
  • Provide assistance to the surgical team during procedures.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and follow proper infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
  • State of Colorado Surgical Registry required (DORA).
  • BLS required.
  • Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred.
  • Graduate of Surgical Technician Program.
  • One year's experience as a Surgical Technician in an OR.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of Surgical Technician III position.
  • Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Must be able to precept and mentor new and existing staff members in the role of a Surgical Technician.
