Position Overview

Pioneer Technical Services is seeking a motivated and diligent entry-level Civil/Environmental Engineer to contribute to our operations in Helena, MT. This role is ideal for an individual eager to engage in civil and environmental projects across the western United States. Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will undertake a variety of responsibilities related to civil and environmental engineering, including but not limited to:
  • Design and preparation of design reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Overseeing construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Conducting environmental sampling and fulfilling annual reporting obligations.
  • Collaborating with project engineers and managers across various Pioneer offices.

Essential Functions

1. Project and Business Development
  • Maintain updated personal data reflecting current experience and training.
  • Represent Pioneer Technical Services professionally to clients and potential clients.
  • Assist in scheduling project tasks alongside the Project Engineer.
  • Foster strong client relationships through effective communication.

2. Project Execution - Design and Technical Support
  • Execute assigned project tasks under the guidance of the Project Engineer.
  • Engage in environmental remediation and civil project design tasks.
  • Keep the Project Engineer informed about project progress and developments.
  • Prepare progress reports to track task completion and budget adherence.

3. Project Execution - Field Work
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Maintain documentation of project history and administration duties.
  • Ensure safety standards are upheld on assigned project segments.

4. Financial Oversight
  • Ensure tasks are completed within budget and on schedule.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required.

Experience: 0-6 years

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are necessary; familiarity with Office 365 and AutoCad Civil 3D is preferred.

Certifications: Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred but not mandatory.
