Excel Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented individual for a Construction Inspector/Observer position. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Act as a Construction Observer on Substation and/or Transmission Line construction projects, verifying that all work performed by the prime construction contractor complies with client construction standards and engineering prints.
  • Capture any field changes to the design and assist the contractor in answering questions on drawings, requesting information from engineering, and coordinating material deliveries.
  • Ensure the constructor uses the proper materials in the proper place on the project and takes all precautions to protect the Company's equipment, materials, and customers.
  • Direct interaction with customers to ensure swift issue resolution and a positive customer experience.
  • Investigate field concerns and technical questions that arise during deployment and provide training support.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Field Construction activities related to Electric Utility Systems.
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
  • Relevant experience in the Electrical Utilities Construction field.
  • Understanding of Electrical Drawings.
  • Understanding of Safe Work Practices.
  • Understanding of Electrical Working Clearances and identify Energized Components.
