Job Description

Specific responsibilities and duties of this position include machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and installations within a high volume, continuous run working environment. You will perform predictive and preventative maintenance within the facility, including lubrication, and read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams, AC/DC, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical components, as well as troubleshoot and repair electrical controls (AC/DC), pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic equipment. The role also involves performing fabrication of equipment (welding arc and gas), installing conduit, observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble, dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, examining the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections, inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, and repairing or replacing defective parts. You will also install special functional and structural parts in devices, lubricate and clean parts, start devices to test their performance, set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts, and initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
