Insurance Loss Control Specialist

Job Summary:

Davies Risk Services is seeking independent contractors to perform insurance property inspections in the Amarillo, TX area. As an Insurance Loss Control Specialist, you will meet with policyholders to photograph and survey the condition of their properties, providing information to insurance underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments with property owners
  • Photographing and evaluating the overall condition of the property
  • Effectively communicating via phone, email, and face-to-face discussions
  • Observing commercial and residential properties for potential areas of risk
  • Completing a brief report of your observations and uploading photos to the field service platform
  • Following carrier instructions and maintaining quality standards
  • Maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity
  • Local travel to perform field inspections

Qualifications:

  • Car, Microsoft computer, smartphone, and reliable home internet
  • Observant and curious
  • Ability to take pictures and accurately measure square footage
  • Skills in time management and verbal/written communications
  • Basic computer skills, typing, uploading, and downloading documents, email, Microsoft Outlook and Word, as well as using the internet
  • Background in construction, firefighting & safety, real estate, or previous military service is beneficial, but not required
